my story
Inspired by my childhood Family Medicine doctor’s warm rapport with patients, I pursued a medical career. I graduated with a First Class in Biomedical Science and an MBBS Medical Degree from St George's University of London. My hospital training covered Paediatrics, Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Geriatrics, Dermatology, Palliative Care, Oncology, Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry and Surgery.

Reconnecting with a Gastrointestinal Surgery consultant sparked my interest in Endoscopy, complementing my passion for Gut Health and Lifestyle Medicine. I am opening a Gut Health and Functional Medicine Clinic in South West London, where I also work as an NHS GP, have worked in a Homeless Clinic, and mentor other GPs.

I work in St George's Hospital Emergency Department, and teach and interview at the university, having recently served as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer. During GP training, I held national representative positions and have been published in the area of NHS staff wellbeing.

I am pursuing certification in Functional Medicine with the IFM, focusing on treating the root causes of illness. I also work as a private GP in London, and offer health screening within companies and at Third Space gym.

In my personal time, I enjoy practicing yoga, gardening (including growing gut-healthy foods), and exploring different cuisines while traveling. I emphasise gut health with my patients due to its close relationship with mind and body wellness.

Houseplants, gardening and nature have been proven to enhance psychological and physical health, so I incorporate these key aspects into my consultations.

"the good physician treats the disease; the great physician treats the patient who has the disease"
